Welcome to Health Gems a small, family-run, cottage industry (in a real cottage!) based in the beautiful Highlands of Scotland. Since 1994 we have been hand making, high quality jewellery out of semi-precious stones and precious metal.
We specialize in wearable jewellery, meaning jewellery that can be comfortably worn everyday-not just for special occasions! This is because we believe, as the poet Emerson said, that "beauty is it's own excuse for being", and that wearing something beautiful lifts the spirit any day of the week.
As well as for their beauty, gemstones have been valued since the beginning of time, for their healing power. In the past many of them were even ground into powder for medicine. These days their healing qualities are seen more as 'vibrational' and for them to have optimum effect they should be worn constantly.
Every necklace we make comes with a handwritten card, which explains the healing qualities of its constituent gems.
